When my Dad retired from working at Motorola he wanted to ride his bicycle across the USA.  I think we all thought he was joking, but  his planning became more serious.  I thought it would be fun to join him on this adventure.  At the time I had basic html skills and thought it would be fun to create a blog as we went.  The www.Uldrick.com website was created each night and uploaded using a dial up modem in motel rooms.

Around September 2013 the website was hacked and turned into links to Russian porn sites.  This was disappointing since after ten years I no longer had the complete backup files to restore the site.  This was also heartbreaking since my Dad had since passed away and I thought the website would be a good way to preserve his memory.  It took several years to put together all the pieces I had with the files I could find on my Dad's old computers to recreate this site.  The format is slightly different but the content is all "copied and pasted" from before.
